Pawna Lake Camp Ride
The best place to hang out with friends. Very beautiful, Huge and calm lake. We Solo travellers visited this place on 21 – 22 January 2017. It was an unplanned journey. We confused between Pawna Lake and Alibagh. We want to set a Camp so finally, we decided to visit Pawma Lake.
This is a beautiful lake near Lonavala Being less frequented by tourists, this place is relatively untouched and serene. It offers some breathtaking views of the hills and valleys. The drive to Pawna dam road is quite an experience by itself. There are two forts around the lake. Lohagad Fort and Tung Fort.
Pawna Lake is 15 Km. away from Lonavala. We reached Lonavala in the evening at 7.00 pm. it’s dark already. We collect all necessary things from Lonavala and started night ride towards Pawna Lake.
As it is too dark so we are not able to spot a place for our camp. We found one place but they were charging Rs 500 per person and we are 5 trevellers, so it is a waste of money. We decided to go forward. We found another place, actually, it was a resort and boat club, Lohagad Boat Club, but we manage to convince him for giving us someplace for our tent.
He allows us to put Tent near Lake. We put our tent just beside of lake.
The night was full of enjoyment with Old songs, Barbeque, Bonfire, and lakeside time pass. it was the first time my friends taking such experience.
At morning one peacock came near our tent. We took some selfies with him. After swimming in the lake we started our journey towards Tiger Point, Lonavala, and Mumbai.
